An innovative, eco aware and community-friendly building, such is our vision for our new home for cross-cultural experiences in Vancouver.
“Everyone deserves a dedicated space where they can learn. Today’s building unveiling provides just that, giving Vancouver’s Francophone
community the facilities it needs to grow its French language services and strengthen Canada’s proud bilingual status."
- The Honourable Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Official Languages
The Alliance Française Vancouver has recognised the significance of updating its outdated 52-year-old building in order to better serve its growing community. After exploring various options in 2015, it was ultimately decided to demolish the old facility and construct a modern, improved building. The new building has been in the works for years and opened summer of 2024. It serves as the central hub for francophones and francophiles in Vancouver, offering a range of unique and enriching educational and cultural experiences. This project is the largest francophone center in BC, cementing its position as a vital resource for the community.
We are expanding our pedagogical activities and want to offer the best facility possible to our students. All our new classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies. We are dedicated to shape the future of French language teaching.
We are committed to develop cultural activities accessible to all. As the Cambie neighbourhood is at the threshold of a new urban dynamic, the centre hosts a restaurant, an art gallery, a brand new mediatheque and performance space in the Cambie area. We want to participate to the diversity and the quality of Vancouver's cultural offer.
Your gift will be used to expand our cultural and educational activities for the benefit of the community we serve.
