To continue with our series of French series and tv show recommendations , we will be sharing a list of the best French teenage TV series that we have found on Netflix and YouTube so that teenagers can practice their listening skills and get familiar with conversations and words used between young people in France.
The majority of the following series have been very successful among teenagers in France.
W.I.T.C.H. is a French-American animated television series based on the Italian comic book series of the same name created by Gary Tomlin
and Elisabetta Gnone. It follows the story of five teenage girls: Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia and Hay Lin who have magical powers
which they use to fulfil their duties as "Guardians of the Veil". The characters in the story are not witches but, the name of
the TV series is based on the first letter of their names.
If you are into supernatural series, then you will like this French drama series. It takes place in small Alpine village, where a group of men, women and children try to return to their homes after being away for several years, all to realize they have been dead ever since they left. Now, they must navigate the fact that their family and friends have moved on. The plot has several twists that will keep any adult or teen at the edge of their seat.
Another supernatural series that has seen a lot of success in France is Mortel. The story is about three teenagers, two of whom have acquired superpowers after making a deal with a supernatural being in order to solve a murder. This series is rated highly and raved among fans.
This series is about a teenage girl that is not happy with her life, and so one day, she wakes up to find that she has started living the life of seven other people in her dreams. One of the main characters will take her back to 1991, to try to help him solve the mystery of his death. This is another supernatural French tv series for teens that has viewers raving about it.
Skam France is an adaptation of a Norwegian series about a teenage group in Paris; each one has their unique problems during their adolescent years that deal with romance and others. All the episodes from this series can be found on You Tube.
