L'Alliance Française est heureuse d'accueillir Yann Arthus-Bertrand, l'un des photographe reporter français les plus connus au monde pour une projection en AVANT-PREMIERE Canadienne de son dernier documentaire "HUMAN", suivi d'une discussion.
Photographe, spécialiste reconnu de l’image aérienne, Yann Arthus-Bertrand est l’auteur, entre autres livres, de « La terre vue du Ciel ».
En 2009, il réalise « HOME », son premier film. Cet état des lieux de la planète a été vu par plus de 600 millions de personnes à travers le monde. C’est le grand film écologique de la décennie.
« 7 milliards d’Autres », portrait de l’humanité d’aujourd’hui, vu par plus de 350 millions de personnes. La grande exposition inaugurée au Grand Palais, à Paris en 2009, et présentée ensuite dans le monde entier.
C’est une première étape sur le chemin qui conduit Yann Arthus-Bertrand vers son projet « HUMAN ».
Yann Arthus-Bertrand est également connu pour son engagement dans le combat écologique. Il a animé durant cinq ans la célèbre émission « Vu du Ciel » sur France Télévision.
En 2011, il a réalisé avec Michaël Pitiot le film « Planète Océan » le film embarque ses spectateurs dans un voyage inédit au cœur de notre planète bleue.
Depuis 2005 et la création de la Fondation GoodPlanet, Yann Arthus-Bertrand s’est s’investi dans l’éducation à l’environnement. Cet engagement lui a valu d’être nommé « Ambassadeur de bonne volonté » du Programme des Nations-Unies pour l’Environnement (PNUE).

L'Alliance Française de Vancouver is very happy to welcome Yann Arthus-Bertrand, one of the most world-renowned French photographer and reporter for the Canadian Premiere of his new documentary "HUMAN", followed by a discussion .
Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a photographer and renowned specialist in aerial imagery. He has written several books, including “The Earth from the Air”, which has been translated into 24 languages and has sold more than three million copies.
In 2009, he made his first film, “Home”. This inventory of the planet was seen by more than 600 million people around the world. Available for free from YouTube, it is continuing its career. It is the most successful environmental film of the decade.
“7 Billion Others”, a portrait of humanity today, has so far been seen by 350 million people. This major exhibition that was inaugurated at the Grand Palais in Paris in 2009, before going on to travel the world, is a personal reflection developed during 30 years.
It was the first step on the path that led Yann Arthus-Bertrand to make “HUMAN”.
Yann Arthus-Bertrand is also known for his commitment to the ecological battle. For five years, he hosted the famous show “Vu du Ciel” which explored environmental issues for the public broadcaster, francetélévisions.
In 2011, he made the film "Planet Ocean" with Michaël Pitiot, in which his incredible aerial photography accompanied by gripping footage from award-winning marine photographers took audiences on a unique journey into the very heart of our blue planet.
Since 2005 and the creation of the GoodPlanet Foundation, Yann Arthus-Bertrand has been committed to educating about the environment and the fight against climate change and its consequences. This commitment led to him being named a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Program on 22 April 2009.
