Created in 1982 by the French Ministry of Culture, Fête de la Musique is a celebration of music in all its forms and genres on the longest day of the year. Also, the Alliances Françaises of Canada have been invited in 2022 to participate in the Alliances Sonores project. Organized by the Alliances Françaises of Latin America and the Caribbean, this project aims to promote artistic innovation and emerging artists on the South American continent. In its third edition, the Fête de la Musique Internationale returns with a virtual concert that takes us from one end of the American continent to the other, from Canada to Uruguay, passing through Central America and the Caribbean.
During the two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Alliances Françaises du Canada organized a virtual Fête de la Musique: Make Music Canada . Make Music Canada is an event coordinated by the 9 Alliances Françaises of Canada, to gather from coast to coast to coast! We wished to show the magic of art by integrating music with visual art. During this event, we will propose three videos that will allow musical and visual artists to show their creativity.
