Different options to learn French

Whatever your profile and preferences, our wide range of educational services ensures that there's something for everyone.

Learn French for adults

Alliance Française offers French courses from absolute beginner to advanced levels. You can see our full range of adult courses here. From group classes to individual training and exam preparation workshops, our accredited teachers will give you all the keys to improve your skills in French in the most effective way!

Learn French for kids and teens

Here again, we cover all ages and levels, you can check our different options for kids and teens here.  Here are the different categories of French classes for your kids:

  • Minis: Tailored for 3.5 to 5 years old, these French classes focus on early language initiation to enhance learning acquisition skills. This early start helps children progress steadily in other subjects at school and prepares them to excel in French programs or other school subjects. Our classes are available mornings at 11am, afterschool at 3:45pm or 4:45pm, and also on Saturdays at 11am. Each class is 45 minutes long.
  • 5 to 7 years old: Children are prepared to keep up or go beyond their French programs at school, to acquire the knowledge for entering the best programs. Our classes are available afterschool at 4pm or on Saturdays. Each class is 1.5 hour long with a small break time after 45 minutes.
  • 8 to 11 years old: As for the 5 to 7, these classes aim the same goal but gather older kids together in a class that lasts 2 hours.
  • Teens: Whether online or in-person, these classes foster participation and provide teens from 12 years old with a range of written and spoken skills to communicate in various situations. Students learn to speak, listen, interact, read and write in French.
  • Tutoring: We offer private lessons with one of our teachers, either online or in our classes. You can choose the time and day that work best for you (subject to teacher’s availabilities).
  • Summer Camps: All Summer long, we offer bi-weekly morning intensive French classes and weekly afternoon camp of French activities for children aged 6 to 9 years old. During two weeks, children learn a complete level of French thanks to our teaching method!
  • DELF workshops: This workshop happens online and helps children to get ready for the DELF JUNIOR exam. Open to children of 12 years old and older, it helps to work on typical DELF activities to master each component of the exam (speaking, writing, reading, listening).
  • Spring Break: For a week, your children receive special intensive French classes, whether they are 5 to 7, 8 to 11 or teens!

Pass French exams and diplomas

We also are an exam center, and you can apply to pass any of the following exam: DELF & DALF, TEF, TCF, DAEFLE, and DFP Professionnal. You can check at our page that presents the Official French Language Tests to have an overview of our range of services concerning the exams.
